Last weekend we went up to Cold Spring, NY to spend the afternoon hiking. It was easy to get to the trail from the Metro North which is definitely a requirement when you don't have a car. Very nice to spend the day outside of the city, with nice views of the Hudson, ruins of a huge old house, and some wildlife! We rewarded ourselves with icecream afterwards.
